Fatal Frame 3DS spin-off in the works

The team behind Fatal Frame is working on a 3DS spin-off dubbed Shinrei Shashin, or Spirit Photo, according to the latest issue of Famitsu. The game will heavy utilise the portable's camera functionality and come bundled with an item called "AR Notebook".Famitsu (via Andriasang) lists the following modes of play:AR Story: Zero: Purple Diary - Working with a girl whom you brought out into the real world, you attempt to solve the mystery behind the cursed Purple Diary, represented by the AR Notebook item. ("Zero" is the Japanese name for the Fatal Frame series.)Horror Notebook - A collection of mini games that use the AR Notebook itemGhost Camera - A free photo mode where yourmt your "spirit picture" and pit it against other spirits (the faces of other people).The game's target release date is yet to be announced.The last Fatal Frame game, Fatal Frame IV: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse (pictured), came out on Wii in 2008. Black Prophecy The Sky Is No Longer The L

This game provides a lot of action-oriented gameplay which can be played from a third-person and first person perspective.In the 26th century, mankind has expanded across the galaxy, yet only a few of its colonies are controlled by Humans. The true rulers are the cybernetically enhanced Tyi and the biogenetically perfected Genides. Their striving for total control over all human species drives them into the territory of an ancient alien race that does not tolerate other cosmic civilizations: the “Restorers”.There are currently three factions in this game. The Sapiens, Genides and the Tyi are human races with different technologies and the last two are known as superhuman species. The sapiens however are biologically and cybernetically unaltered human beings. Sapiens have been classified as second class citizens by most intergalactic colonies. The Spire exists as the only space station still under Sapien control, which is where the player’s journey first begins. Later in the game the player gets to choose the faction he wants to join, whether it be Genides or Tyi.The character creation in Black Prophecy gives you a lot of options to pick from. You can change everything! There are some presets you can choose from and you can chance the Ethnology of the character you are creating. You have 3 sliders that will help you create the desired race you want. Then there is the Age, Weight and the hilarious Gravity option. You can also decide to create your character from scratch if you head over to the Expanded tab. In the expanded tab you have much more ways to make your face more detailed and to customize the desired look of your character. In the special tab you can pick tattoos and gadgets such as piercings.Black Prophecy probably has the most detailed an adrenaline filled tutorial in MMO history. Between various pilots (all voice-acted) yelling at you, explosions going off, missiles flying left and right, and you being thrown right into the middle of it, you can expect to leave this tutorial feeling rattled and ready for more.The space ship I was on was being attacked by a fleet of space shuttles. I was ordered to arm the turret on the space ship and destroy any enemy space shuttle that I encountered. As I was destroying these space ships like flies I got a warning on the radio that torpedos got launched and were heading for the ship. As I was trying to destroy these fast speeding torpedos a huge Battle Ship confronted the space ship I was stationed on. My order was to destroy every weak spot on this ship such as turrets, radars and scanners. When I destroyed the last weak spot the Battle Ship turned into a huge fireball and exploded. After we fended off the first wave of enemy shuttles, I could take off the first ride in my own fighter craft! After a brief moment to accustom myself to the controls of the fighter, a second wave of terrorists struck the space station and the action continued!The graphics of Black Prophecy rival any F2P MMO ever produced hands down. There are plenty of options to change the quality to make the game playable for everyone. I couldn’t run the game on the highest graphics unfortunately even though I have a monster computer.To control your ship you can use the WASD keys along with the Q and E buttons to make a barrel roll. Aiming and shooting is done by using your mouse. However there is a travel time for your weapons and you have to aim in front of the target in order to land a shot. In order to click on items in space or go to your menu bar you can press Space to open up your user interface.It is also possible to upgrade your ship with all sorts of upgrades, like a cockpit, wings and an engine. There is also room for 4 turrets. There are all sorts of weapons which can be built into your ship such as cannons, lasers, guns, energy beams, flamethrowers and missiles. Some of these weapons require multiple slots or are specialized in taking different mechanics down, so you have to build your fighter wisely with a goal in mind. This frees the game up drastically from class stereotypes as you can be any variation of artillery, tank, close range dps, and support given enough time to gather the necessary parts for these roles.There is a skill tab in Black Prophecy thatrmt you put skill points in several options. These options determine what your character does and what level modules your ship can equip.If you are sick of doing quests or ran out of them there is an option to do Missions as well. You are able to do these missions alone, with a party or even with your clan. Inside of every station, there is an option on the right side of your screen called Mission Terminal. In this terminal you can filter missions based on PvE or PvP and difficulty level with 5 degrees of difficulty.PvP missions are only available in the hub sectors after the prologue. These missions consist of you and another member of your faction going head to head against 2 members of the opposing faction.You can also play a Quickplay match. A Quickplay is an arena-style matchmaking feature in Black Prophecy to allow people to queue up for a quick skirmish. This is much more common due to how convenient and casual it is.In Black Prophecy it is possible to form or join a clan. To form a clan you would have to be level 14 or higher and have a purse of 20,000 corons. There is a possibility in the game to get your own clan sector. The requirements for this clan sector are to have at least 10 members in your clan and have 200,000 corons in your clan account. As a commander of a clan you can build a station in your clan sector with different features such as a dealer, a hanger, a mission terminal and a constructor.Crafting requires blueprints which you are able to get through missions. These blueprints tell you which crafting material is required to make the desired object. Once you have gathered all the materials you can head over to the constructor tab in a station and start the crafting. Crafting actually takes real time to make and depends on the item level.In Black Prophecy there is a cash shop. In this cash shop you can buy items such as Paint, Ship upgrades and different sorts of packages. There are different packages such as Experience Bonuses, crafting packages and a combat package. It is also possible to buy a skill point reset and item upgrade via the cash shop. The real money currency in Black Prophecy is called KKS also known as KK dollar.I didn’t want to compare this game to Eve but it’s rather inevitable. I have played EVE Online off and on but didn’t feel like I was a strong enough person to have some impact in the game. Black Prophecy however is more casual and doesn’t take ages to actually achieve something. Eve Online is not alone anymore, Black Prophecy is a really well polished game that has a lot of features to offer. However Black Prophecy is still a newly minted game lacking in end game content and some ship customization options. But this will surely change in time and Black Prophecy is a must try for every sci-fi fan that likes to fly his own space shuttle.

Is this what the iPhone 5 looks like

The device pictured is not an iPhone 5, but reports suggest it may be a direct clone made by a factory in Shenzhen, China, where the real thing's said to be in production. As reported by Gizmodo, the images back up rumours that Apple's using rounded glass for the screen and the back of the phone, and they also match an alleged spy shot published last week.The site points out that in China many products are cloned based on digital blueprints or models sneaked out by production workers, leading to the availability of cases and cloned parts before the real thing even hits the market.Whether the images are representative of the real thing or not isn't clear, but we wouldn't bet heavily against it. A senior executive at Swiss carrier Swisscom reportedly said in July that Apple has set a September 5 US release date for the as yet unannounced iPhone 5, follrmtoby a global rollout a month later. If true, that means the phone is deep in production as we speak.Last month, after reporting record revenue and earnings for its most recent financial quarter, Apple dropped the biggest hint yet that it's to launch iPhone 5 in the coming months, referring to an upcoming "product transition" set to impact its September quarter.

New PS Vita games leaked

Images showing a few unannounced PlayStation Vita games have made their way into the pages of Famitsu and then been magically transported to the net for your viewing pleasure. Around 40 PlayStation Vita games are expected to be announced at Tokyo Game Show including Lumines: Electronic Symphony, Rayman Origins, Michael Jackson The Experience HD and Dark Quest, according to the Japanese mag. Others set to make debut showings at TGS includermt m Club Zero Portable, Ragnorak Odyssey, Sumioni and Moe Moe Daisensou. Modern Warfare 3 Hardened Edition content

At this rate there won't be much left for Activision to reveal at its Call of Duty XP event this weekend. A picture of what reportedrmtl ad for the Modern Warfare 3 Hardened Edition has seemingly revealed all its content. The premature reveal (pictured), which was supposed to be saved for the Call of Duty XP event, shows all the goodies you'll get in the special Hardened Edition package of Infinity Ward's new shooter. Nintendo boss takes 3DS sales blame, 50%

Nintendo president and CEO Satoru Iwata is to take a 50 percent pay cut after claiming the that the blame for poor early 3DS sales lies at his door. Addressing shareholders in Tokyo today, Iwata said (via Nikkei): "I feel heavily responsible for this kind of announcement we had to make."For cuts in fixed salaries, I'm taking a 50 percent cut, other representative direcrmttare taking a 30 percent cut, and other execs are taking a 20 percent cut," he added, according to Kotaku.Iwata is said to earn roughly $2 million a year and design lead Shigeru Miyamoto $1.2 million.The decision to slash the price of the 3DS less than six months into its lifetime wasn't part of Nintendo's original strategy, but Iwata said it would help retailers plan for the end-of-year sales period and encourage developers to stick with the platform. The company will now make a loss on every 3DS sold.Iwata also reiterated that Nintendo doesn't intend to sell its games on non-Nintendo platforms.

Monthly 3DS sales more than double in Jap

Japanese 3DS sales hit 384,000 units in August, 2.6 times the system's July total. That's according to figures from Enterbrain (via Andriasang), which pegs August as the second-best month on record for 3DS, the console having sold 430,000 units in March following its late-February launch.The portable has topped Japan's weekly hardware sales chart since its price rmtweduced from 25,000 to 15,000 on August 11.Nintendo is to hold a "3DS new product announcement conference" on September 13 ahead of the Tokyo Game Show. Warhammer 40K Space Marine co-op DLC det

Relic has detailed co-op for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. As was explained in the initial announcement early last month, the co-op mode, called Exterminatus, won't be available until early October via DLC.Wrmtht does arrive, however, it'll come with two maps allowing four players to work together in a Horde-style game as they battle waves of increasingly difficult enemies.Two maps may not excite straight away, but it's free and who knows what will be added in the future.Playing with mates isn't all about flowery co-operation though. PS3 Sony drops 'It Only Does Everything'

Sony's introduced a new US ad campaign for the PlayStation 3, dropping its famous 'It Only Does Everything' slogan for 'Long Live Play'. SCEE's VP of product marketing, Scott Steinberg said the ads are designed to "celebrate gamers from all walks of life" and "recognize you for making us who we are today".He explained on the PlayStation Blog: "PlayStation has always been about the gamer and the PS3 is the ultimate portal to a land of infinite experiences and accomplishments. Gold Farmer Bounty Hunting The Newest Inn

Without much knowledge of the game, you may be asking yourselves this very question. Well, first of all, as far as my personal opinion goes, I did not enjoy the game. It was decent in general, but it was definitely not made for me. It is special because of the continuous support and surveillance offered by Ingle Games. Various ongoing activities and events revolve around how players want the game to be; how you want your personal experience in the game to resemble. As farfetched as this may seem, they have accomplished just that. Without the use of a player-moderator system, Ingle Games has found many ways to ensure player’s aid in making the game enjoyable for everyone. The most interesting one that I have discovered is undoubtedly the gold farmer bounty hunting.。 。Luckily for us, some F2P MMO companies are still focusing on the community and their game rather than revenue. Granted, they still need to make some money in order to be able to host their game and profit, though their priorities are much better organized than the majority of game companies. An example of this I have stumbled upon recently is Ingle Games Ltd., publishers of the MMORPG recently released in closed-beta, Chaos Online. I won’t be getting into details of this game’s function and such, though you can view the Chaos Online review here.。With gold farming being such an annoyance these days, I personally believe even an innovation such as in-game bounty hunting isn’t good enough to get rid of the industry. I don’t believe we will ever see F2P MMORPGs without gold farming influence. In countries such as China, gold farming is a large business, and a simple game company will not bring them down. Even so, I am very glad an MMORPG company has finally decided to offer rewards for helping their game reach a cleaner and more appropriate status for everyone to enjoy, and for that I give them my thanks. Gold farmer bounty hunting is a very creative idea, and I am sure it will catch on in many other games to come. That being said, P2P MMORPGs also have a long way to go, only that it is more likely they will be able to diminish gold-farmers faster than their free to play counterparts.。Chaos Online has brought a whole new standard in player moderation, and I hope this will teach other publishers out there that their loyal players are able to make a difference within their game. The one problem with being human beings though, is thrmta’ll probably be expecting something in return.。Gold farming has been an issue in MMORPGs since the very beginning of online gaming. Players who offer real money in return for in-game currency quickly unbalance the economy within the game, resulting in a harsher difficulty to retrieve items for the average player. Something has yet to be done to completely demolish this common, yet obnoxious issue although I have some interesting news to bear, and with that you can ask yourselves whether we are seeing any progress towards the disappearance of gold-farmers everywhere or not.。Basically, any player that locates and successfully reports a gold-farmer within the game, he or she will be awarded with 10% of the gold acquired by that particular gold farmer (…and the gold-farmer will clearly get banned). Now, 10% may not seem like such a large reward, but considering the fact that they are hired as gold collectors, they will have quite the sum in their inventories. With such a simple system at hand, almost everyone can take part in this bounty hunting, and this will ultimately result in the disappearance of gold farmers and of hackers within the game. We can only hope so, but it is a great step forward for free MMORPGs. ONRPG Interviews Fallen Earth


Onrpg: Tell us a little about some of the teammates over at Icarus Studios.
Fallen Earth is actually a separate company from Icarus Studios, though we’re using their tools for making the game. The other top folks at Fallen Earth are Colin Dwan, the Lead Game Engineer, and Steve Coylermt, is the Art Director both of whom are a joy to work with. Within my own department, Content, which handles all the writing and game balance issues, we’ve got a mixture of computer game writers, old school table-top writers, comic book writers, scriptwriters, MUSH runners, and LARP staff. It’s quite an eclectic bunch.。
Onrpg: According to the website the background mentions that you are near Hoover Dam. Will thrmteire game, or at least what is available at launch, take place in this area?
Hoover Dam looms large in the background of the setting, but it will not be part of the initial release. The area used in the initial release material is close to Hoover Dam, but it woquo;t appear until later expansions. 。
Onrpg: How will players get around in the game? Will there be transportation of any sort?
Players can use underground trains, mounts, and cars for transportation, gh these all must be found in the game and may be very expensive or very resource intensive. Initially players will have to rely on their own two feet.。
Onrpg: Will there be crafting in the game?
Yes, it is one of the primary activities in the game. 95% of the items in Fallen Earth are craftable by players, and all the best equipment is made by players. Players can develop ten different tradeskills, from Ballistics and Armorcraft to Cooking and Science that allow them to harvest resources, refine resources, and use them in constructing items. Players must find recipes for items that they wish to make, which can be found through missions, purchased from merchants, found on enemies, or learned from other players. Crafting in Fallen Earth has a real time component, so making a gun may take a few hours. This time passes regardless of what you do, including logging off, and you can queue up a number of iteo build if you are going to be offline for a significant amount of time. This limits the number of items a player can build without getting in the way of their play experience.。
Onrpg: Do you have a rough idea of when we can get our hands on the game?

Onrpg: How would you describe Fallen Earth to those who have never heard of it?
Fallen Earth is a post-apocalyptic massively multiplayer online game with a first person shooter style combat mechanic. Fallen Earth uses a mixture of first person shooter and rolaying game systems, relying on player skill to remain on target but using a more role playing game style system to determine weapon damage and effects. 。
Onrpg: What will the gameplay be like?
Fallen Earth uses the standard WASD controls for movement and the mouse is used to interact with objects in the world and to aim when in combat. Attacking a target requires a placing a targeting reticle over the target and clicking the mouse or activating a special attack, so if players are not able to keep their target in their sights they won’t hit. The effect such attacks have on the target is determined using a role playing game style system where the attacker’s weapon and skill are compared to the defender’s armor and skill to determine how much damage is done. Because of this structure, players will have to constantly adjust and move in combat, especially in PvP conflict. Players can choto play in first or third person. Fallen Earth concentrates on combat, crafting, exploration, and mission-oriented play. We have a huge environment for players to run around in and a massive amount of content for them to experience, so players will be able to find something to their liking.。
Onrpg: Fallen Earth features several factions. Holl players interact with them and will they be able to be a part of one?
Players will be able to join the six main factions, gaining ranks and access to missions, equipment, and special training. Players will be able to earn points with their factions by completing PvE or PvP missions and can help their factions control towns and territory through PvP activities. Each of the six main factions has two allied factions, two thre enemies, and one archenemy. Each time you gain points with your faction you gain half as many points with your allies, lose an equal amount with your enemies, and lose twice as much with your archenemy. Because of this it is impossible to remain friends with everyone. Players can choose to remain neutral and eventually do some missions with the minor support factions in the game, such as the Banker’s Guild or Franklin’s Riders, but characters who remain neutral will not see the same depth of content as players who choose to join a faction.。
Onrpg: Can we expect a large amount of the game to focus on PvP?
About a third of the content is oriented toward PvP, the core of which is conflict towns which players can claim for their faction through PvP activities. Our PvP conflict is zone-based so if you enter a PvP zone you are a target, and players can shoot anyone except members of their group so members of the same faction can attack each other. Players can avoid PvPstaying out of PvP zones.。
Onrpg:  What is the setting for the game?
Fallen Earth is set one hundred and fifty years in the future and one hundred years after the fall of civilization due to a biological and nuclear holocaust. The game takes place in the hwest United States, specifically in the region around the Grand Canyon. The game world is over 7,000 square kilometers in size and is based on real topographical maps of the Grand Canyon. This region is some of the last habitable land in North America, so it is a heavily contested area. Numerous factions fight for control of food, minerals, and other supplies. GuildWars

I have played the most recent betarmt-ing of guildwars.. it was a closed beta test, only open to those who preordered the game.

Beta March 18-21.

This game has had alot of hype to it.. and it was all true. Irmt ed this game almost nonstop for the 3 days the beta was online.. it was unbelievable. Lets get down to the ratings.

Graphics - 10/10
The game was simply amazing.. its a Free to Play game like Diablo, etc.. you must purchase the game, but its free lay past that.This game has graphics that rival its counterparts like WoW, EQ2, City of Heros, etc. For a pay to play game this is all we can ask for, but this is a free to play game.

Gameplay - 10/10
The entire game is based upon wise team construction, character development, and pure strategy.The max lvl is 20, but its all in how setup your skills that determines who wins a pvp fight.There are missions for PvE and then PvP battles.The missions are great, the monsters are really hard and have great AI.. it takes the best teamwork and the right team to beat these missions.
The PvP is the best of any online game I have ever played (and I've played alot of them)In most games, the higher lvl would win the fight.. but in guildwars its who has the best strategy with setting up their skills, working together as a team, etc.The game definately deserves the highest rating in Gameplay.

Interface - 9/10
The interface can sometimes get in the way, and when you minimize things and move things.. they go back to their original ways the next login.. but besidhat.. the games interface is simply amazing.

Killstealing/Looters/etc - 10/10
These are words you wont hear in GW.The game is designed that when you exit a town into a hunting ground or mission, you will have your own version of that le area and own copy of the world.You may bring in party members and guildmates with you, but besides that.. you will run into no one else while hunting.. great experience.

Easy to Learn? - 10/10
I had no experience in the game prior to playing it this past beta... but I got on the game and knew exactly what to do.The game is setup so well that after a little while of playing it, you learn the epts pretty easy.
On my first character I had alot of trouble once I got past the tutorial area.. but after an hour or so of wandering around and asking people for help learned the game just fine.

People/Community - 10/10
The community in this game is just amazing.The people are nice, and they are always wil to help you and help you learn the game. It really was a joy playing with people like that.

Overall - 9/10
The game is simply amazing, and its free to play.You couldnt ask for any more.

Is there another booster pack lined up for us in the future?。

In Issue 20 the Incarnate Trials introduce an endgame that is designed to be friendly to casual and hardcore players alike, with easy-to-access grouping features and great missions that won't take hours to complete. We want everyone to be able to experience the Incarnate Trials without needing to be a specific archetype, needing to be in a big Super Group, or needing to commit an entire evening to make any progress. This is anrmt vative approach to adding an inclusive endgame that meets our core philosophy of providing great content for all types of players and helps us stand out in the MMO space.。

Wrmthould you say to the claims that City of Heroes is taking a step back with the new features and going from industry first to copying what other MMOs have already done?。



What is your favorite story arc/Task Force in City of Heroes and why?。



I am most looking forward to playing in the Incarnate Trials on the live servers. We have been testing these internally and on the Beta server for many months now, but I can't wait until everyone gets a chance to play through some of the most challengind engaging content we have produced at Paragon Studios!。

In the latest Intrepid Informer we were introduced to the floating fortress which remains rather shrouded in mystery. Can you tell us anything more about it?。



City of Heroes is coming up on its seventh anniversary. And now been joined by two big name hero based MMOs. What one thing do you think m City of Heroes stand out against the rest?。





In addition to test player community in gaming - period -- we have seven years of great missions and other great content, including countless combinations of powers and thousands of costume pieces to choose from, so that's a big strength.。





I would like to thank Second Measure for taking time out of his busy heroing job (and you know that other job he does, producing City of Heroes) to answer these questions OnRPG.。

We are definitely thinking that far in the future and beyond, planning story as well as features and content. We want every issue to have better content and more epic storylinhan the issues that have come before, and we want to be able to surprise players with new directions in the story and new features that enrich the game experience.。

I also think the fact that we have our own world and our own brand over which we have total control gives us a lot of strength. We can make the story always stay true to the gameplay. We can let player characters become the most powerful heroes in the known universe without too many consequences. We know these strengths will help City of Heroes stay the world's most popular shero MMO for a long time to come.。




I am involved with nearly everything in development at the studio -- managing the flow of what we are putting into the game and helping make sure it gets done on time. For example, when we add a Strike Force, I make sure the right people are involved in the design meetings, that the right people review the design, that we have enough time to do everything for schedule, and that we ensure it doesn't risk any of the other features we are working on.。




In Issue 19 we inuced the invasion of Primal Earth from the alternate universe of Praetoria. In this issue we learn that the floating fortress supports some of the portals that the Praetorian invaders have used to bridge the gap between the worlds, and players have to prevent the portals from being used.。



I know you must be wondering where I disappeared to. And yes there have been some rumors that I sold my loyalty and free time to the Rifts. But I can tell you that thi not true. I pulled myself away from Rift to go on a wild adventure that saw me captured by Praetorians and rescued by City of Heroes Producer Nate Birkholz (under cover of course as his alter ego Second Measure). I took that time to ask him a few questions which I now give to you.。

Superheroes get to do the things we all want to do in a much more immediate and impactful way. I'd lovefly a spaceship or explore the unknown moons of a distant planet, sure. But far more often I want to jump across town in a single leap or solve a big problem with a well-timed show of strength.。




Some of it is a ruse to distract from Nemesis' true plot. Ha ha. That is humor. In ay do I wish to impugn Nemesis as neither a super powered being nor offend his entirely benevolent organization.。


It's very hard to choose! I just playhe Vincent Ross story arc from Issue 19 with my new brute character, and that story really ends with a bang. I also really like several of the missions in the Alignment System we introduced in Going Rogue, since they really make you think about who your character really is and what your character truly represents. My favorite Task Force is definitely the revised Positron Task Force, even though the new Task Forces from Issues 19 and 20 are a lot of fun, too; the Positron Task Force really is a great way for your character to feel powerful at an early level, and it is a fun tour of the early zones.。

The hot topic on everyone's mind right now is Issue 20. What part did you play ts creation and what part are you looking forward to most?。


We may be inspired from time to time by features from other games, but we always strive to innovate anpand the boundaries of everything we add to the game.。



Where do you see City of Heroes a year from now? Are you looking so far ahead to hinking about the ten year anniversary?。



I love the wolf head. I have wanted to make a character for several years that is a dog that walks upriand haven't been able to before now. My wife and I used to make up stories about how our dog snuck out at night and fought crime, so we tried to make him in the game but could never get it right. It still doesn't look much like him, but at least it looks like a dog now!。

One final question, is everything a Nemesis plot?。

As always, we want to wait until everything is done to release details, but there will be the very f appearance of a popularly-requested costume feature in this pack. The 4th Coming -Updated

The 4th Coming (or T4C) is a 2d/3d online rpg. Most servers are P2P (or Pay to Play) but I have found one that is not p2p at all. The server is called Xavus, and I have had nothing burmtt while playing there.

GAMEPLAY: *****
I gave this a perfect score. There are tons of things to do. There's a whole bunch of quests, and in those quests will determine rathermtr join the good/evil side. So after you've completed all of the "Good" quests on one character, you can make a new one and do the "Evil" quests. This should take about 2 years so you dont have to worry about being bored!
COMMUNITY: **** 1/2
Mostof the community are very nice people. High leveled mages will "spell" you (Or charge you up.) All you have to do is ask. However, there are a few people that will just ignore you, but what would an MMORPG be without people like them? The staff is very nind helpful as well and not corrupt.
GRAPHICS: **** I gotta say for an old game, the graphics are pretty impressive. I think they could've done a li better on the player models though, but I'm not one that believes that graphics make the game, it's all about the gameplay.
SOUND: *** 1/2
The sound is pretty good, but it may get annoyinger a little while. That's cool though, because there's a different sound for every type of area.
SKILLS/LEVELING UP: ***** Perfect Score. It don't take an eternity for a new level (if your charged anyway) and there's tons of spelkills to choose from. You can get warrior skills as well as mage spells.
FEATURES: **** 1/2
Almost perfect! There's magery, tons of quests, evil/nonevil, things to look forward to like Seraphing (getting wings) and there's alsoyer vs player combat. The only thing that's missing IMO is things like Blacksmithy, Tailoring, etc. But it's not really needed nor wanted.
OVERALL: **** T4C is a very fun game with a large and friendly community. I think you should all go get it now, and catch me ingunder Octavious. See you there!。 By Onrpg

Allods Online Review It's not WoW

Another unique system in Allods Online is that there is a stat allocation system. Unlike other MMORPGs of this calibre, you can allocate stat points. The levelling system in Allods is similar to a lot of stat based MMORPGs out there. It means that you get stat points whenever your character levels. There is still a job and class locked growth system in Allods but with thermt system in place, you can actually customize and create your own build. I personally think that the Allods game system is a refreshing take on character development. People who are used to mages always hitting and nuking inform the sidelines are forced to rethink their strategy in Allods.。

Personally, when I saw the game trailer and heard of the pertinent game features I wanted to jump the gun and play Allods. Now it seems that I was justified on hoping that I would get myself into a great game. I don't think Allods Online will ever topple WoW. However, Allods for sure will provide good competitive encouragement for MMO developers because there's a F2P of thrmtilibre. I cannot say that Allods is a perfect MMO at the moment, because it's just in OBT. The game has a lot of potential and I'd be keeping my eye out for game updates in the future.。

There are a lot of faction centric features in Allods Online. Most of them concentrate on faction vs. faction warfare. However there is one game system in Allods that doesn't consider a groups faction in segregating players. It's the official alternative for questing, PvE and PvP. It's Goblinball. The objective of the gis to kick the goblin that serves as the ball into the enemy's goal. Similar to soccer your task is to defend your goal while scoring. Goblinball is an enjoyable sport/mini-game to play. It successfully gives players another thing to look forward to aside from the daily grind.。

The job system in Allods is similar to a lot oORPGs out there. There are no faction exclusive jobs in Allods. The job class' names may be different but the classes have a corresponding "alternate" job in the opposite faction.。

Allods Characters

If you started the game with the Imperial faction, you've already experienced what a ship looks like. You eventually get to control your own Astral ship. Like in building real ships,ing one takes time and a lot of money. However the benefits of having a ship really outweighs the cons. You get to travel around and see the beautiful world of Allods. You can also experience ship-to-ship battles similar to what you experienced when you started with the Imperials. The Astral Ship experience doesn't stop with just the creation. Astral Ships need to be manned too. Similar to real ships you need to have a navigator, helmsman, engineer, repairmen and of course gunners. I haven't seen how this works in the real player perspective but as far as I can see this can work out especially if you have friends who can man those posts in your ship.。

Playing Goblinoball

There have been a lot of MMOs lately that have taken the WoW interface and used it in their own MMORPG. Developers who have taken this route have had hits and misses which ended in the labelling of their MMORPGs as mere "WoW Clones". Allods Online is a good example of such an MMO. You can see a lot of Woements incorporated to its interface and gameplay. However, what separates Allods Online from other half-baked MMORPGs is that it has managed to refine itself into an MMO that can get the attention of even a jaded gaming market.。

Character selection on the other hand reminded me of Neosteam. The Gibberlings were the Allod version of Neosteams furry Poms. Elves meanwhile, have wings. Yes, that's right, all elves in Allod have wings (nice going Allods team, another gamet exemplifies the "feminine" nature of elves, male or female. Personally though I'm a League summoner so I'm really complaining). The game pushes the archetypical classifications of a lot of the races found in MMORPGs. However I personally don't think you will notice much because the character designs are so good.。

Allods is a grinding, story-driven MMORPG. Your main way of levelling in Allods is through the quests, which NPCs will provide for you. Grinding alone will take a while because the quests provide more experience points. I think this levelling system really forces you to do the quests. A lot of players who are used to grinding will find it unacceptable that you are relying on quests to level up. Thoughhink this works well for Allods because it emphasizes that the game is story driven. However, relying heavily on quests in Allods may in fact be bad in the long run. Repetitive questing can take a toll on players and can eventually make them quit the game.。

Allods mages are not overpowered. Magic spells can actually miss in Allods. Though the spells still retain the magic attribute, it is not guaranteed that they will always hit. According to one player who I was able to talk to, he mage is a crit type. Anyone and everyone who has played a lot of MMOs wouhink that is weird. However, based on what I experienced with my summoner, I think that's a good way of allocating points.。

I cannot deny the similarities that Allods has with World of Warcraft. However, I was very surprised that the game did not follow with a cinematic opening. Once you create your character (belonging to either the League or the Imperial side) you are immediately put into the middle of the action.  The game practically puts you right in the middle of the story, which is similar to Dungeons & Dragons Online. Yotually get to see how the story develops. On the League side you actually witness a change in the environment when you are invaded by the enemy. In the Imperial side you are given a taste of what you will be experiencing and what it means to be part of a ship. I was really taken aback with what I saw in the game because you can only experience these things when you're playing a P2P MMORPG.
